New laws are being planned which could give police power over an anti-war protester who has been camping outside the Commons for the last three years, laying out 40 metres of banners denouncing Mr Blair as a murderer and war criminal.
His display has infuriated ministers, who believe it draws attention to the weakness of the government under its own laws. Parliament Square is run by Westminster Council, which allows camping on public parks if the cause is political. (src)
