Today while trying to fix a computer I allowed it to dial-up so I could fetch updates.<\/p>\n
To my surprise ICQ then became active (not my computer, but I have disabled this functionality now) and there in a big advertising window I could see a picture of the Survivor 3 winner along with his name.<\/p>\n
WHY ON EARTH do you do such idiotic things? Survivor depends on people not knowing the results, I assume that the final show was yesterday or something in the US, and so about everyone there that WANTED to know knows, but ICQ is used all over the world and at this time there are still 6 people left on the show here in Iceland. I REALLY detest you now, I’ve gone considerable lenghts in avoiding to hear any rumours about the winner, but then you put a big window with the persons face and name and announce it as the winner.<\/p>\n
I’m sure that all your customers which are not based in the USA are just thrilled to know who won it, that means they no longer have to tolerate the excitement and participate in discussions on “who is going to win it” with those that are not ICQ users. I hope you understood this sentence in the sarcastic tone it was intended.<\/p>\n
Those who wanted to know about the winner have always been able to go the the official website and learn it from there, I fail to see what gain you think you are giving to your audience, those who taped the show might yet not have seen it and so this is a nasty surprise for them as well.<\/p>\n
